Season 6 Finale: Purple Turtles Crowned Champs After Instant Classics

We-Ball Season 6 delivered a regular season full of drama and development, but nothing could have prepared us for what went down in the playoffs and finals. With every team laying it all on the line, we witnessed one of the greatest nights in We-Ball history—highlighted by overtime heartbreak, career-defining performances, and the rise of a new champion.

Let’s recap every twist and turn from the Season 6 Finale.

Semi-Final 1: Purple Turtles vs. Kool G Raps

Top seed vs. bottom seed? You’d think this was a foregone conclusion. But with nothing to lose and everything to prove, Kool G Raps came out swinging. Even without their leader and All-Star GB, they pushed the top-seeded Purple Turtles to the absolute brink.

A pair of clutch threes from Manny J helped the Turtles hold a slim halftime lead, but Kool G Raps refused to fold. With just five players, they launched a stunning 15–0 run in the second half, capped off by a game-tying three from Kelvin that sent the crowd into a frenzy and the game into overtime.

Despite the fairytale vibes, it wasn’t meant to be. A missed free throw in OT left the door open, and Purple Turtles escaped by two points to punch their ticket to the finals.

Semi-Final 2: Glass Cleaners vs. Regulators

Glass Cleaners came in with a legacy. Regulators came in with momentum. And for a full half, it was neck-and-neck. The game was tied at halftime, thanks largely to a heroic effort by Regulators’ Luke, who could not be stopped.

But in the second half, experience and unity won out. Glass Cleaners, We-Ball’s only 3x champions, turned on the jets, showing everyone why they wear the crown and why no playoff is complete without them. Their gritty, composed finish earned them yet another finals berth.

Finals: Purple Turtles vs. Glass Cleaners

Unfortunately for Glass Cleaners, the challenge of playing back-to-back playoff games with a five-man squad caught up to them. Fatigue was a factor, and Purple Turtles smelled blood.

Locked in and fully rested, the Turtles executed on both ends of the floor. Smart possessions, great team defense — they sealed the deal in style. And they did it all without the commanding presence of MVP frontrunner Cameron G., who missed the finals after falling victim to a classic case of “UK weather fatigue”… the only known cure being a well-earned medical hiatus under the Brazilian sun.

The final buzzer sounded, and just like that—we had new champions.
